I wake up in total darkness covered in sweat. Southern California has been abnormally hot for September and I live in a room with no windows or airflow. Yet my heart is happy. I spent my entire summer living on a concrete slab with 18 other women at camp.

My last post was related to running a half marathon, in February, in Alberta. Some context for my international friends, Alberta is cold. Cover all of your skin if you plan on being outside for more than 5 minutes cold. Luckily, this year, we have been blessed with a much warmer winter. This bout of seemingly-tropical weather is what inspired me to try and run a marathon in February. However, according to many, many, many training plans and my more experienced counterpa.
